Disneyland December 2021 Review

Day 1

I had the most amazing trip to Disneyland last week! Here’s my review, hopefully it will help you with some tips, tricks, and advice for your trip! I don’t always reveal some of my best tips until you book with me, so be sure to contact me to book your next trip, and you’ll get in on some of my best secrets! Here is the review from my second day at the Disneyland parks.

Downtown Disney and resorts

I arrived to California around noon Pacific Time. I was staying at my aunt’s house in Huntington Beach, but they were out of town, so I had to take an uber to get there. It took about 30 minutes because traffic seemed to be heavy. Once settled, I went to meet some other agents from Fantastical Vacations at Disney Springs. I had intended to meet them at the Grand Californian. However, they would not let me in with the uber because I was not a guest of the resort. The uber drop off was just around the corner next to the disneyland resort, though. It took about 25 minutes to get there from Huntington Beach.

I got out at the Disneyland Ave. drop off area and walked up Disneyland Ave and into Downtown Disney. I met up with some of the other girls from the agency and we spent some time at Downtown Disney. We grabbed a snack of biegnets at the Jazz Kitchen Express. They were pillowy and delicious! After some shopping, we walked around all 3 of the Disneyland resorts. Each one has their own unique theme. They are so close together and close to the parks. There were Christmas decorations and carolers at each one, the atmosphere was lovely and festive around every turn.

We then had dinner at Storytellers Cafe at the Grand Californian. It was delicious in a way that is so hard to describe. I ate mostly vegetables. Although I had some meat on my plate, the vegetables were SO good, that’s all I wanted to eat. If I could get my veggies to taste like that I would be vegetarian! Which also points out that they have such great options for vegetarians at Disneyland in general, not just Storytellers Cafe. My favorite things were the corn chowder, and the mushroom gorgonzola cheeze pizza. I don’t even care for mushrooms. But I went back for seconds of that pizza!

After Dinner it was time to call it a night. I walked back to the Paradise Pier Hotel where they were staying, and caught my uber at the font of the hotel. I was exhausted….by the time I went to sleep, I had been up for over 24 hours.

I am a mom of 2 boys ages 11 and 14, and have been married to my wonderfully supportive husband, Brian for 14 years. I work full time in the billing department of a large opthamolgy practice in Michigan. I have not just a love for all things Disney that started from birth. My boys sometimes call it my Disney problem, but my husband and I fondly refer to it as my Disney passion. I have a side gig as a travel advisor. I can help plan almost any vacation, but as you can guess, I specialize in Disney and Universal.
