Disneyland Beignets – Which is Better?

Beignets at Disneyland….kind of a classic! When visiting Disneyland recently, I tried them at two different locations. Here’s how they were:

🎷Jazz Kitchen Expresss in Downtown Disney

These ones were light and fluffy, warm and fresh. We ordered 4, but got a bonus beignet, so that’s always a win, but not a deciding factor in this contest. Four beignets were $9.49. We also got a side of caramel sauce. They have a few different sauces you can choose from for $0.50. The carmel sauce was yummy, but was messy and made them kind of difficult to eat. I don’t think I would get it again. These beignets were just perfectly yummy though – everything you would expect and more!

🌿 Mint Julep Bar in Disneyland

The Mint Julep Bar is THE place to get beignets, so I had high hopes. We got a 3 pack of Mickey beignets here for $4.99. So they are significantly less as far as cost, but don’t get as many beignets, either. They were simply beautiful! I mean….could they be any more perfect and adorable? They make great photos….and that’s where it ends. They weren’t fluffy or warm. They were somewhat stale, and completely hollow. The only thing that saved them is the powdered sugar. We each ate one and didn’t even want the last one. I have to say, it’s possible we got a bad batch. However, other agents got them a different day/time, and said the same thing.

❓So which one is better? I know…the Mickey shaped one is WAY cuter! But I have to say, the Jazz Kitchen beignets were WAY BETTER! In my opinion, it isn’t even a contest. The Mickey shaped ones were just….not great. But oh man….those beignets from Jazz Kitchen….I can’t recommend them enough! 🏆 Jazz kitchen is definitely the winner in this contest!

Have you tried one or both? Which do you like better?

I am a mom of 2 boys ages 11 and 14, and have been married to my wonderfully supportive husband, Brian for 14 years. I work full time in the billing department of a large opthamolgy practice in Michigan. I have not just a love for all things Disney that started from birth. My boys sometimes call it my Disney problem, but my husband and I fondly refer to it as my Disney passion. I have a side gig as a travel advisor. I can help plan almost any vacation, but as you can guess, I specialize in Disney and Universal.
