Can you believe it’s been 50 years? I am SO excited to be in Magic Kingdom this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary. Yes, it will be extremely crowded. Yes, it will be very hot. Yes, we will mostly likely have to wear masks. And yes, I am totally crazy. But it will be so worth it!!!
My number one priority is to get 50th anniversary ears. I am hoping there will be a pair that looks like the fab five’s amazing celebration outfits. That EARidescent purply-blue is so gorgeous! It will look lovely on my ear wall.
I may also get a shirt and a purse. I love this Dooney and Burke purse they are showing off! Disney says that 3 new collections will launch at the start of the celebration. Two more collections will debut later in the fall.
They also showed a few images of the EARidescent collection and the Vault collection. The Vault collection looks like vinatage Disney, from when they first opened. What they revealed of the Earidescent collection was an irridescent pink, not the blue the fab five is seen wearing. It’s unclear if it will all be pink, or a mix of irridescent colors.
They have said that some merchandise will be available online starting on August 12 on shopdisney.com. I’m hoping this will help the craziness of trying to get merchandise in the park. Ideally, they will have a great way to help with crowd control on October 1st, and prevent people from overbuying for resale. They have stated, and published an image of the dedicated 50th merchandise store display section. There will be a display in all the parks, and also at Disney Springs. Either way, I look forward to getting some one of a kind merchandise, and this preview shows lots of amazing items. Can I get it all?!

My trip was amazing and although I wanted it all, I tried to keep control. Not everything had been released by the time we went there for our trip. Since then, they are consistently releasing more and more. Here’s what I’ve gotten, but be sure to check Shop Disney regularly, or in the stores at the parks, it’s consistently changing!
These ears are the best ones I got, I wore them all weekend! They are loungefly, and have the fab 5 on them with the 50. They match my crocs!
On the actual day of the anniversary, October 1, 2021, we were in Magic Kingdom. We had to sign up for a queue in order to shop exclusive merchandise. We got to shop around 1:00 pm, and there was still a ton left! We chose a few pins for our boys, and I got my most treasured item:
They did not have the Dooney & Burke purse that was in the pre sale photos, and still to this day I have yet to see it show up. I did, however, get another Dooney & Burke instead. I love it!
