So much Disney news was released today, it’s been a BIG day! Buckle up and get ready, as we go on this ride together!
Walt Disney World Announcements

TRON Lightcycle/Run Opening Date!
TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise officially opens April 4 at Magic Kingdom Park!
There will be previews for cast members, annual passholders, and DVC members, but no date was announced yet for that.
Walt Disney World Nighttime Spectaculars
Nighttime spectacular ‘Happily Ever After’ returns to Magic Kingdom Park on April 3, replacing the current show, ‘Enchantment.’
Over at EPCOT will bring back ‘EPCOT Forever’ as an interim show over World Showcase Lagoon starting April 3. This includes a phased removal of fireworks platforms following a final ‘Harmonious’ performance on April 2.

There were 3 other Walt Disney World announcements.
First, guests will again enjoy complimentary self-parking when staying at a Disney Resort hotel. I know this is something everyone has missed, and it’s a great perk to staying on site!
Next, beginning in the next few months, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders will be able to visit the theme parks after 2 p.m. without needing a park reservation, except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom Park.
Lastly, in the next few months, guests purchasing Disney Genie+ service will also receive digital downloads of their Disney PhotoPass attraction photos, taken in the park on the day of their purchase, at no additional charge. This is an amazing perk to the Genie+, especially if you don’t have the PhotoPass included in your vacation package!
All of these announcements, along with the new summer offer that includes a free dining gift card of up to $750 when staying on site, make for one magical vacation in 2023!
Disneyland Resort Announcements

Disneyland had it’s share of great news as well!
Beginning February 4, 2023, guests who enter a Disneyland Resort theme park with a Magic Key pass or a Park Hopper ticket may begin crossing over between the parks two hours earlier – starting at 11 a.m. PT!
In addition, the Disneyland Resort reservation calendar will offer nearly two months-worth of $104 park ticket dates throughout 2023, which means additional opportunities to enjoy our lowest one-day, one-park ticket price.
You may know that with the purchase of the Disney Genie+ at Disneyland, you get the PhotoPass included with your purchase. Now, everyone can enjoy select photos without the Genie+! Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads captured on any Disney PhotoPass available attraction during a park visit will be complimentary for all ticketed park guests on the Disneyland app starting February 4, throughout the Disney100 celebration.
Finally, they will be making select Magic Key passes available for new sales from time to time throughout 2023 as pass inventory becomes available. The Magic Key pass is Disneyland’s form of the annual pass, with different levels and benefits. It does not go up for sale all the time, as there is select availability, so it is great more guests will have the opportunity to purchase it.
What a magical day for Disney fans everywhere! Which announcement has you the most excited?
