Violet Lemonade

Violet Lemonade is a fan favorite drink at EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival. Found at the Pineapple Promenade outdoor kitchen booth, the festival favorite is a simple beverage that pairs both floral and fruity flavors, as the lemonade is infused with hints of violet. It has a lovely purple hue that makes it feel extra-special. It’s a cool and refreshing beverage that’s perfect for a warm spring day at EPCOT!

Did you know that violets themselves are edible? The flower and the leaves can be consumed, and contain high amounts of vitamin A & C. You can purchase the flower in this recipe at your local garden shop. Just be sure it’s not had any chemicals sprayed on it. Or you can omit the flower completely.

Here’s the recipe so you can try it at home. It is taken out of the Unofficial Disney Parks Drink Recipe Book.

Violet Lemonade

5 ounces violet syrup

4 ounces lemonade

1 drop blue food coloring

1 drop red food coloring

3 cups crushed ice

1 edible violet flower

Add violet syrup, lemonade, food colorings (optional, it will just not be purple if you don’t use it), and ice into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a 20 oz. glass and top with edible flower.

Enjoy!

I am a mom of 2 boys ages 11 and 14, and have been married to my wonderfully supportive husband, Brian for 14 years. I work full time in the billing department of a large opthamolgy practice in Michigan. I have not just a love for all things Disney that started from birth. My boys sometimes call it my Disney problem, but my husband and I fondly refer to it as my Disney passion. I have a side gig as a travel advisor. I can help plan almost any vacation, but as you can guess, I specialize in Disney and Universal.
