Disney has made several HUGE exciting announcements in the past week. Here’s the scoop on all of it!
As you may have heard, Disney has announced that 2024 Disney World packages will be released on May 31, 2023. Here is what we know:
First, Disney World packages for 2024 can be booked starting May 31, 2023. I have a list of clients that have been waiting for this! Remember booking early benefits YOU! It is only $200 down to book any Disney Resort vacation. The balance is not due 30 days prior to the trip, and you can make payments any time before then. Booking early also gets you the best price, before they hike it up! And if any promotions come along that can be applied, I am watching for that and can apply it to a trip that is already booked easily.
They also announced that starting with park visits on January 9, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets. If you planned to go to Epcot on a particular day, but decide you want to start out in Animal Kingdom at the last minute, you can do that!
Next up is one of the most exciting announcements. This is one of my number one asked questions – When is the Disney Dining Plan returning? It’s happeneing!! Disney dining plans will be coming back as an option for those staying at Disney Resort hotels who purchase a vacation package starting with stays beginning January 9, 2024, which will also open for bookings on May 31.
Guests will be able to choose from two popular options: Packages that include either the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan. We do not have pricing on these yet
Disney Quick Service Dining Plan
You will receive the following per night of your stay:
2 Quick-Service meals
1 snack/nonalcoholic drink
Each guest will also receive 1 Resort-refillable drink mug
*Meals and snacks can be redeemed at any time during the stay.
For example, on a 4 night stay, each person will receive:
8 quick service meals
4 snacks
1 Resort-refillable drink mugs
Disney Dining Plan
You will receive the following per night of your stay:
1 Table-Service meal
1 Quick-Service meal
1 snack/nonalcoholic drink
Each guest will also receive 1 Resort-refillable drink mug
*Meals and snacks can be redeemed at any time during the stay.
For example, on a 4 night stay, each person will receive:
4 table service meals
4 quick service meals
4 snacks
1 Resort-refillable drink mug
With both plans Beverages are included with each meal. Guests under 21 years of age may choose from a variety of nonalcoholic beverages. Guests 21 and older with valid identification may substitute for beer, wine or cocktails. Guests ages 3 to 9 must order from a children’s menu, where available. Plan must be purchased for entire length of stay and for the entire party (ages 3 and up). Meals are non transferable between party members and expire at midnight on day of checkout.
Finally, Disney also hinted that Genie+ changes are coming. Many people have had complaints about having to book things early in the morning and keep up with it all day long. They may be working on a way to book lightning lanes ahead of time.
